J Nat Prod 56(8):1397–1401. 〕 It is the source of the series of chemical compounds known as calphostins. Falcarindiol (cis-heptadeca-1,9-diene-4,6-diyne-3,8-diol) is a polyacetylenes found in carrot roots.
